Rakib Rahman RimonSoftware & DevOps Engineer
01/about
I’m a software and DevOps engineer at Genesys Softwares LLC in Dhaka. About a year of that has been professional; the hands-on infrastructure habit is much older than the job title.
I self-host on ARM hardware sitting in my flat — including the server delivering this page. I containerise with Docker, put Nginx and Cloudflare Tunnels in front of it, and automate the whole path to production with GitHub Actions.
The through-line is reliability. I’d rather build something boring that stays up than something clever that pages me at 3am.
less time from commit to production
Cut a production deploy from roughly 30 minutes of manual work to under five, with a Docker + GitHub Actions pipeline.
02/stack
Where I’m most at home.
Interfaces that stay out of the way.
APIs, schemas, and the boring reliable parts.
Side interest, real workflows.
03/work
Infrastructure — design, build, operations
A self-hosted ARM (Amlogic) box that serves this very portfolio. Docker for every service, Nginx out front, Tailscale for secure remote access, Umami for analytics, and a custom Discord bot that watches power and uptime and tells me before anyone else notices.

Full-stack — API, data model, and client
A role-based educational platform with separate Admin, Teacher and Student surfaces. .NET 9 Web API over PostgreSQL via EF Core, JWT auth, and a Next.js 15 client. Covered by xUnit and Moq tests.

Full-stack — realtime game server and client
A real-time multiplayer card game. React + Vite + TypeScript on the front, Node/Express and Socket.io holding the game state, with PostHog watching how people actually play it.
Mobile — app and data layer
A cross-platform budget tracker. Flutter and Dart against a Firebase realtime database: multiple accounts, categorised spending, and charts that make the month legible at a glance.

Full-stack — mobile app and web dashboard
An anonymous counselling platform pairing people who need to talk with volunteer listeners. Flutter app, Next.js dashboard, real-time chat, and anonymity treated as a requirement rather than a feature.
Tooling — local generative pipelines
Tuned local generative-AI workflows: ComfyUI on a dedicated GPU for image pipelines, plus custom ElevenLabs voice models for multimedia work. Entirely self-hosted, so nothing leaves the network.
04/contact
I’m open to work on infrastructure, backend, and full-stack projects — and I answer every message myself, usually within a day.
